Welcome to the Cen10Now website! Centennial High School's student-run newspaper. Our articles will encompass many topics such as news, reviews, events, advice and photography. These articles, written by our fantastic staff, will be published here each week.


Club members will be taught how to write an article, how to properly cite information, work ethics, deadlines, and professional photography.

Club meetings will be during lunch on Mondays in Room 952. We are always looking for more Writers, Photographers, Reporters, Interviewers or anyone else who would like to contribute. Editors In Chief, Officers, and Advisor

Jasmine Bae - Co-President, editor in chief

Jasmine Bae is a 12th grade DP student, and the president and executive editor of Cen10Now. She enjoys writing, editing articles, taking pictures for Cen10Now. She also enjoys YA novels, movies, and playing the piano in her free time. She is also a big foodie and loves salsa.“Puns are the highest form of literature.” ― Alfred Hitchcock

holland snipes - CO-President, advice head editor

Holland Snipes is a 12th grade IB student who is known by others as ''Holly''. She enjoys participating in FBLA, belly dance, and Sign Language Club. She also loves reading Stephen King novels. ''A day without sunshine is like, you know, night''- Steve Martin

Blake Torres - Editor-in-Chief

Blake Torres is currently a 12th grade DP student and the editor-in-chief of Cen10Now. In his free time, he enjoys yoga and his dogs, Rango and Loki. His current favorite shows include: "Seinfeld", "The Office", and "30 Rock". While not watching television, he enjoys his homework and other productive activities of the sort, like fishing. "Hi Blake" - Jerry Seinfeld

chloe santos - Vice President

Chloe Santos is an 11th grade AP student and Vice President of Cen10Now. She is in Centennial’s Treble Choir and enjoys playing guitar and piano. She also enjoys drawing/painting, writing poetry, and eating. She seeks to go to CalArts and one day work for Pixar. “A new day will dawn for those who stand long.” -Led Zeppelin

Westin montano - Historian

Westin Montano is a 12th grade DP student at Centennial High. He has a lot of experience in video editing and writing, which are reflected by his grades on his AP World History essays. He enjoys animating, drawing, and playing Pokémon and League of Legends.

Phil Iweda - Treasurer

"Phil" Hanna is a 12th grade DP student who is also a consumer of video games, music. and movies. Some of his hobbies include sleep and even more sleep. "I'm not a bad man but sometimes I must ask what would a bad man do?" - Anonymous.

Marisa Moran - Secretary

Marisa Moran is in 12th grade. This is her second year as part of Cen10Now. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching TV, and participating in Centennial’s theatre department.

Benjamin Denzler - head editor

AP and Honors student, likes running and weightlifting, cooking, video games and TV. Is pretty good at writing, wants to go to UC Irvine (maybe). "Learning happens in the minds and souls, not in the databases of multiple-choice tests." - Ken Robinson

Angel Chen

Angel Chen is 17 years old and is currently a senior at Centennial High. She in the IB DP program and has great interests in public speaking, political debate, and ice hockey. William Chen

William Chen is an 11th grade IBDP student with erratic amounts of free time spent re-watching old favorites like Good Will Hunting, playing video games, and reading/drawing comic books. "We gaze continually at the world and it grows dull in our perceptions. Yet from another's vantage point, it may still take our breath away." - Dr. Jon Osterman

Dararith Sao

Dararith “Dar” Sao is an 11th grade IB student at Centennial High School. He enjoys video editing, animating, creating and listening to music, and interacting with VR technology. On his free time, he also plays strategy games such as Cities: Skylines and Stellaris, and RPGs such as Skyrim and Mount & Blade: Warband. “Knowledge comes from learning, wealth comes from seeking” - Khmer proverb

Nadia Sandoval

Nadia Sandoval will laugh at literally everything she sees or hears if it's funny. Nadia is an all honors student, although she struggles sometimes she always passes the class. - “But you just gotta laugh away your problems like "ha-ha-ha" Let it all go let it fall right off” - Eben Franckewitz.

Anthony Villegas

Anthony Villegas is a DP student and on the varsity cross country team. He has written and directed student films such as "Gangspeare", which some people thought was pretty okay. He is particularly fond of Miguel's burritos served at lunch but finds the cheese to sometimes be stringy.

 

Sarah Impalli

Sarah Impalli is a senior who has a passion for change and a better future for Centennial High School students. She also loves listening to a wide range of podcasts. “Life is about making an impact, not making an income”- Kevin Kruse 

Katherine Varela

“Kat” Varela is an 11th grade AP student who is involved in Centennial High School sports as well as Choir. Kat enjoys all genres of music, reading anything that isn’t required for school, and doing anything that isn’t homework. “Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.” - George Addair

Michelle Tran Bui

Michelle Tran Bui is an 11th grade DP student who is in Cen10's varsity swim team, VSA's president, FBLA, Key Club, and the Polynesian team. Photography is one of her favorite hobbies, as well as visual arts. She is interested in pursuing a career in medicine, law, or business. Her favorite pastime is getting boba.

Jimmy Ho

Jimmy Ho is a 12th grade DP student and writer for Cen10Now. He likes to breath, doodle, and drink dihydrogen monoxide of the filtered variety. His entomophobia extends to butterflies. In his spare time, he likes to daydream and make plans because they look like Tetris blocks in his heads. "The quotes that best describe you are the ones you make yourself." - Someone who quoted themselves, probably

Kanvir Sambhi

Kanvir Sambhi is a 9th grade Honors student who likes to be called “Kenny”. He is a Band enthusiast, likes photography, editing, technology and is in spanish. He loves reading Action and Adventure novels like The Maze Runner. “Never gonna give you up.”- Rick Astley




Vishnu Kumar

Vishnu Kumar, a senior in the IB DP program, enjoys working out, traveling, and learning new things, especially in psychology and history. He has an outgoing and caring personality. His notable achievements include being selected to attend West Point’s Summer Leaders Experience and piloting a plane. He is also an active member in Junior State of America and is a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol. “Don’t let your mind control you. Control your mind.”– Jocko Willinku

Nicolas Castaneda

Nicolas Castaneda is a 12th grade IB student, but mostly goes by "Nick". He enjoys challenging himself to learn musical instruments, spending time with friends, and participating in various school clubs. Additionally, he loves photo and video editing, which can be seen through his few video projects from schoolwork and memes for Physics class. Adam Denzler

Adam Denzler is a 9th grade student at Centennial High School. In his free time, he listens to music and walks his dogs. He is passionate about music, modern fashion, and his schoolwork. He enjoys music by Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, and similar artists. "Keep moving forward" - Kid Cudi

Kemdi Nwosu

Kemdi Nwosu is a 12th grade AP and Honors student at Centennial High. He is the Vice President of Community Service in FBLA and enjoys participating in the school’s theatre productions. His other interests include being the voice on the school’s morning announcements, reading, watching tv, and trying to entertain everyone he encounters. “If you work hard and be kind, amazing things will happen.” - Conan O’ Brien
